The Filipino community in Helena brought color, rhythm, and flavor to St. Mary Catholic Church during a two-hour cultural presentation that celebrated the beauty and richness of Filipino heritage. The event, held on Sunday, October 12, drew parishioners, local residents, and guests eager to experience the warmth and hospitality of Filipino culture.

Organized under the leadership of Father James Ibeh, the event was a heartfelt celebration of unity, faith, and cultural pride. Father Ibeh’s vision to promote cultural appreciation and strengthen community ties made the event a meaningful success.

The presentation featured a variety of traditional dances, heartfelt songs, and cultural performances that highlighted the Philippines’ diverse regional traditions. From graceful folk movements to spirited modern renditions, each number reflected the deep pride and unity of the Filipino spirit.

After the performances, guests were treated to a feast of authentic Filipino cuisine—from savory classics to sweet delicacies—prepared and shared by members of the community. The shared meal provided an opportunity for everyone to connect, learn, and celebrate cultural diversity together.

The event not only showcased Filipino artistry but also strengthened the bond between the Filipino and American communities in Helena. It was a meaningful reminder that cultural exchange fosters understanding, friendship, and faith within the parish family.

Mabuhay! – Long live the spirit of community, culture, and unity!
